Colour explosions near the Irazú Volcano
For one day last year, a small town near the Irazú Volcano was covered in 8 million flower petals.
With the help of local residents, it took more than two weeks to collect the 3.5 million flower petals used to create a river of divine colour through the streets of town. The explosion of colour was used as part of a shoot for a Sony advertising campaign. The international advertising agency McCann organized the set-up for this location, with the idea in mind of using a flower petal for every pixel in Sony’s 4K Ultra HD TV. Nevertheless, the beautiful footage provides amazing images of the impressive Costa Rican landscape.
