Medical Spanish Academy
The Medical Spanish Academy has been established in 1981 and is amongst the oldest Spanish language schools in Costa Rica.
At the Medical Spanish Academy you will be in an environment conducive to learning. All our teachers are enthusiastic, qualified and experienced. The small Medical Spanish classes of 2-4 students enable the teacher to cater to your individual need and give you lots of opportunity to participate and practice. Through the little study group each student will be able to speak Spanish and use medical terminology in a short time.
Upon arrival you will be given a placement test, in order to determine the appropriate Spanish level for you. The Medical Spanish Academy offers different levels of Spanish (beginner, intermediate or advanced) to exactly fit your needs.
Our main focus is to enable our medical Spanish students to use medical terminology in a short time so that they can communicate with their patients and colleagues. To guarantee a successful learning experience in Costa Rica, the Medical Spanish Academy offers a warm and friendly learning atmosphere with small study groups.
For the duration of your stay in Costa Rica, you will be staying with a Costa Rican host family. Most of our families don't speak English. Thus, it is the perfect environment in which to put into practice what you acquire in the classroom. It also rounds out your learning by giving you a first hand experience with the Costa Rican culture, cuisine and family life.
In case you do not want to stay with a Costa Rican family, Universal de Idiomas can help you with searching for a hotel or an apartment. Please keep in mind that it might be quite difficult to find other housing options.
Location
Our Spanish language school is located in the heart of San Jose, Costa Rica. Just outside you will have lots of restaurants, sodas, bars, museums, shops, and other culture at your fingertips. It is the ideal place of departure for trips to any place in the country. Map of San José.
