Homestay
Universal de Idiomas offers the opportunity to live with a Costa Rican host family. Living with a host family will help you practice your spanish, live the Costa Rican culture and make friends. Each family has gone through a selection process and is selected to ensure that they fit the student's needs. Many families have been with the program for years and know how to treat our students well.
The home stay program will give you the opportunity to live with selected Costa Rican families that don't speak English. Thus, it is the perfect environment in which to put into practice what you acquire in the classroom. It also rounds out your learning by giving you a first hand experience with the Costa Rican Culture, Cuisine and Warm family life.
The homestay begins when the family picks you up from the airport. They then show you how to get around San José and inform you on what you need to know about the city. In addition, the family provides students with breakfast and dinner, as well as laundry service.
Airport pickup, private room, keys to the house, breakfast, dinner and laundry service are included in the homestay rate.
