A Spanish Learning Experience
A few years ago I had decided that I wanted to learn Spanish. The thought of becoming bilingual appealed to me as a challenge I would enjoy. I signed up for classes at an adult school and as the classes progressed I found that “I wasn’t getting it”, so I dropped the classes.
I, as most of us, knew people who learned languages very easily and I was frustrated that I wasn’t one of those people. Other subjects and interest I attempted were not easy, but “I got them” in a fairly short time. I convinced myself that I was one of those people whose brain worked in such a way that languages were difficult for them (the old left brain – right brain thing).
